Family Dinner

When I was 10 years old, my mom and dad would sit in the kitchen talking about what we should cook. First my mom and dad would ask us for our input on what we want to cook for dinner, and we tried really hard to make something that every body agrees with but sometimes that didn’t work. Next we all would go to the grocery store to figure out what we would need for what we were going to cook but if you are not thinking fast enough sometimes some body would already have a shopping cart filled with a whole bunch of stuff. You would have somebody else coming behind coming behind that person just putting stuff in the shopping cart. Finally by the time we got home we worked really fast to take all of the groceries out of the car and into the house. Then we would work really quickly to separate every thing. As we are separating everything, some body starts cooking. Pretty soon every body’s cooking something. Now when the food is done, we finish putting every thing away. Then we all sit down and say grace and give gifts, and share stories. Also we start to eat. I’ll never forget how much fun we had and how every body came together to make a big dinner and that was the first time that I learned how to cook.
